SiyamPrivacy policy
In short: Siyam doesn't collect any of your data. There's no account, no server of ours and no tracking. What you log stays on your iPhone, and you can export or delete it whenever you like.
Who we are
Siyam is made by Modern Muslim LLC, a company in North Carolina, USA ("we"). You can reach us at support@getsiyam.com.
What stays on your iPhone
Everything you put into Siyam is stored only on your device:
- your fasts and how you logged them, your make-up fast count and history, and your plans;
- excused days, if you turn that option on, including any reason you choose to add;
- your settings, including the location you chose for prayer times.
We never receive this information. Siyam's widgets and Live Activities read it on your device too. If you use iCloud Backup, Apple may include app data in your device backup, under Apple's terms; Siyam itself doesn't sync to iCloud.
Your location
Siyam needs a location to work out suhoor and iftar times. You can search for a city, or let Siyam use your current location if you allow it. The times are calculated on your iPhone.
To search for a city, or to show the name of the place you're in, Siyam uses Apple's maps service: your search text, or your approximate location, is sent to Apple to find the place. We don't receive it. Apple's handling is covered by Apple's privacy policy.
Purchases
Siyam Premium is bought through the App Store. Apple handles the payment and your payment details; we don't see them. Siyam checks on your device whether you have Premium, so it can unlock its features.
Notifications and alarms
Reminders and suhoor alarms are scheduled on your iPhone. They aren't sent through any server.
No analytics, ads or tracking
Siyam has no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking tools, and doesn't share or sell data. The App Store privacy label for Siyam is "Data Not Collected".
Exporting and deleting your data
In Siyam, go to Settings → Your data. Export data saves your data as files and sends them only where you choose. Delete all data removes your fasts, make-up fasts, excused periods and settings from your iPhone and cancels Siyam's reminders. Deleting the app also removes its data from your iPhone.
If you email us
If you write to support, we receive your email address and whatever you include, and use it only to reply. We don't add you to any list.
This website
This website has no cookies, analytics or tracking. Like any website, it's served by a hosting provider, which may keep standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security.
Children
Siyam is suitable for everyone and doesn't collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we'll update this page and its effective date. If a change ever affected how your data is handled, we'd say so in the app first.
